"I use Power Mixer in conjunction with VoIP / Skype. I use two sound cards, one for my main PC speakers, and the other for my headset for Skyping. When I get a call, Power Mixer makes it easy for me to mute my PC speakers, as I usually listen to music through them.
It also makes it easy for me to put callers on hold, as I can swiftly switch to turn up the on hold music that's fed into my speech soundcard's line-in jack. I can also mute myself during this time whilst I'm fumbling for papers on my desk. After the call, another quick keypress allows me to turn back on my music!!" |
